Here we gather the known issues in the Swedbank Pay Payment Menu. This document will be updated if/when needed and it’s our goal that the list will shorten rather than expand.

Missing WooCommerce order reference in Seamless Menu checkout flow

When using the Seamless Menu checkout flow in the Swedbank Pay Payment Menu plugin, the WooCommerce order reference is not included in the payment data sent to Swedbank Pay. Unlike the Redirect Menu checkout flow – where both Merchant reference and Order reference are submitted – the seamless flow only sends a Merchant reference.

Due to technical limitations, the WooCommerce order number cannot be added or updated after the initial request. As a result, it is not possible for the plugin to include the WooCommerce order reference in the Seamless Menu flow.

This limitation may affect merchants who rely on the order reference being visible in the payment details.

Switching to the Redirect Menu checkout flow will fix this issue.
