Errors from Swedbank Pay

Operation is not allowed, missing enabling of UnscheduledPurchase

This error occurs during a subscription renewal, when the plugin attempts to charge the customer using the unscheduled token. It means the merchant’s Swedbank Pay account has not been enabled for unscheduled purchases (used for automatic subscription renewals). If you receive this error, contact Swedbank Pay support and ask them to enable Unscheduled Purchase for your account.

Note: this and other error messages under “Errors from Swedbank Pay” are returned directly by the Swedbank Pay API as part of their error response format (“problems”). The plugin logs and displays the name and description fields as provided by Swedbank Pay, it does not generate this text itself.

For a full reference of error types returned by Swedbank Pay (organized by payment method: Card, Installment Account, Invoice, Swish, Trustly, Vipps), see Swedbank Pay’s Problems documentation.

If you need support with account configuration, contact your Swedbank Pay merchant support.

Checkout validation messages

These messages are generated by the plugin itself, when Swedbank Pay rejects a field submitted at checkout due to invalid formatting.

Invalid phone number format

“Your phone number format is wrong. Please input with country code, for example like this +46707777777”

Shown when the phone number field does not match the expected format. Make sure the customer’s phone number includes the country code.

Street address too long

“Street address can have a max length of 40 and only contain normal characters”

Shown when the street address field exceeds 40 characters or contains characters Swedbank Pay does not accept. Ask the customer to shorten the address or remove special characters.
