Book and manage shipments

Last modified:

If a shipping method in a WooCommerce order is connected to a Logistra Cargonizer service, you can create, update, and manage both shipments and return shipments directly from the order.

Book a shipment

Shipments can be booked either automatically or manually.

Automatically

You can automatically book a shipment when the order status changes.
This is configured in the plugin settings.

See order management under Introduction → Configuration for more details.

Manually

There are three ways to manually book a shipment:

  1. From the order overview page.
Click the Create consignment button in the Actions column.
  1. Using bulk actions
Select one or more orders, choose Create consignment from the bulk actions dropdown, and click Apply.
  1. From the Edit order page
Open the order and click Create shipment in the CargonizerConnect metabox.
Note: The Estimated cost is retrieved from Logistra and represents their calculated shipping rate. This may differ from the shipping amount defined by the merchant and charged to the customer at checkout.

When a shipment has been booked, the consignment number will appear in the metabox.

From here you can:

  • Retrieve the Tracking URL
  • Re-print the label
  • Download the shipping Label
  • Download the Waybill
  • Change and/or Create return shipment

You can also print the shipping label via the dropdown menu in the Order actions metabox.

Change shipment

You can update a shipment by clicking Change shipment in the CargonizerConnect metabox.
Note that shipments cannot be changed after they have been created.

In the dialog that appears, you can:

  • Change Transport Agreement
  • Change Product
  • Access additional options depending on the selected product
  • Manage Packages, including:
    • Editing or adding measurements and descriptions
    • Add additional packages

Return shipment

Once a shipment has been created, you can also create or manage a return shipment from the order edit page.

Change return shipment

Click Change return shipment in the metabox.

In the dialog that appears, you can:

  • Change Transport Agreement
  • Change Product
  • Manage Packages, including:
    • Editing or adding measurements and descriptions
    • Adding additional packages

Create return shipment

Click Create return shipment in the CargonizerConnect metabox.

When the return shipment has been booked, the consignment number will appear in the metabox.

From here, you can:

  • Retrieve the Tracking URL
  • Re-print the label
  • Download the shipping Label
  • Download the Waybill
