Advanced demo mode

Advanced demo mode

The Advanced demo mode allows store owners to test how the Qliro payment solution looks and behaves in their WooCommerce store, without enabling Qliro for all customers.
This feature is primarily intended for testing and reviewing the store’s checkout flow before Qliro is publicly activated.

  • When Advanced demo mode is enabled and a specific test code is provided, Qliro becomes visible as an available payment option.
  • No separate test environments or API keys are required.
  • Only customers using the active demo coupon will see Qliro as a payment option at checkout.

Setup and Configuration

Get started with Qliro for WooCommerce by adding the API credentials you recieved from Qliro and enable Qliro as a payment method.

  1. Go to: WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → Qliro
  2. Enable Qliro as a payment method.
  3. Enter the API Credentials
  4. Enable the Advanced demo mode setting.
  5. In the text field that appears, enter any demo code of your choice (for example, QLIROTEST).
    • The code is case-sensitive (for instance, DEMO and demo are not the same).
    • Only one code can be entered at a time.
  6. Save changes.
  1. Go to: Marketing → Coupons and Create a WooCommerce coupon with exactly the same name as you set in the Demo mode coupon field.
    • The coupon must be active, but it does not need to apply any discount.
    • All other coupon settings (e.g., expiry date or usage limits) work as usual.

Before creating your first coupon, you’ll need to enable coupon use in your store. For more details, see the WooCommerce documentation.

When a customer applies that coupon at checkout, Qliro becomes available as a payment option, even if it’s not activated for other customers.

When used in Advanced demo mode, Qliro for WooCommerce operates exactly as it does in both test and live environments.

Please note that you must have at least one other payment method, besides Qliro, activated in your store for Advanced demo mode to work as intended.
